Blessed are you….

The Sermon on the Plain

Luke 6:17-31

Count the ways you are blessed today.  As we embark on this month of thanksgiving it’s sometimes easy to think of the ways that we are obviously blessed; a good job, healthy kids, roof over your head.  We also need to remember the ways we are not so obviously blessed.  Jesus reminds us in these verses from Luke that the poor, hungry and persecuted are blessed as well because through all of those trials and times of mourning those are the people who rely most heavily on the Almighty.

Take a moment today to count your blessings, even the ones that don’t leave you feeling blessed in the moment!

Love and Blessings,

Parson Ashley
